Thick yogurt layered with soft berries and a fine almond-oat crumb. No honey and no whole nuts, so it suits toddlers as well as older children.

Wash the berries and pat them dry.
Prepare the fruit for your child's age. For children under 4, flatten every blueberry with a fork or cut it into quarters, and dice the strawberries small.
Mash the banana in a bowl until smooth, then stir in the yogurt for gentle sweetness.
Stir the chia seeds into the yogurt and leave for 10 minutes so they soften and no dry seeds remain.
Mix the ground almonds and the blended oats in a small bowl.
In small cups or bowls, layer yogurt, fruit and a sprinkle of the almond-oat crumb, then repeat.
Serve straight away with a spoon while your child sits upright and supervised.
Best eaten fresh. Keep the yogurt, fruit and crumb in separate containers in the fridge for up to 2 days and layer just before serving.
For a nut-free version, for example for daycare, leave out the almonds; the oat crumb works well on its own. Do not add honey or syrup for children under 2. Never give honey to babies under 12 months.
